OMG what fun! Seriously not recommended for people with short fuses, patience, sensitive ears, or not fans of off tun musical instrument playing. But, for me it was a blast! Once Justin got over being over whelmed and un attached himself from me it was actually a great time. Even I must admit at first it was a bit overwhelming. The story time/music time/children's activities guy literally walked in with thee huge containers of every musical instrument imaginable. After shaking our wiggles out, it was free reign for the kids to choose and play and experiment any installment they wanted. This is where having sensitive ears is not a good thing. Flutes blasting, triangles and drums beating, hand symbols banging, and kids stomping, squealing, and enjoying themselves to the fullest. The flutes were the most popular instrument and I must admit I was grossed out at first. I mean kids were passing those things around and sharing like nothing. HELLO! I mean germ city. I luckily don't go anywhere without antibacterial wipes so I was wiping everything down like crazy. I was a bit surprised that that didn't seem to be a concern for other. Anywho it didn't stop the kids from having fun. We sang going through the forest where the kids banged and played their instrument to get away from the animals, wheels on the bus, and old Mc Donald had a farm thanks to Kailee. LOL I will definitely take the kids back for music hour. We had so much fun. Kailee loved the drums and guitar. Justin loved the flute mainly because it was one of the most sought after instruments and he also liked the drums. I will say Kailee was quite disappointed when the coloring activity didn't take place after wards. Again this is where a schedule can bite you in the booty. My kids are just used to things happening a certain way. Every time we go there they both know we have to behave and listen quietly to story time and then they get to color and play with everything after wards. So today not having that follow they were slightly thrown off. It didn't completely ruin our time but Kailee made sure and told the guy she wanted to draw and color and how come he wasn't prepared to bring his coloring stuff LOL. I was slightly embarrassed at her boldness but hey what can I do.
After story time we hit up Old navy for some new flip flops. Can't beat two for 5.00. Each got a new shirt as well and thanks to Paul we got 10% off our purchase for him being in the military. Now that we are home and have had lunch. It's time for a nice nap. Then maybe I'll take them for a dinner pic nic at the park.
