So Paul, the kids, and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to say bye to a few deployers who are leaving tomorrow. It almost reminded me of being back home especially with the waitress who said y'all. LOL She was awesome. We haven't had service like that in the longest. She was amazing with the kids too. She asked if Kailee wanted Princess milk and if Justin wanted Super hero milk. Ya know just went the extra mile to make it a good night. The food was delicious. I mean I haven't had boneless wings from there in forever. Definitely hit the spot. The kids LOVED their mac n cheese, but were a little distracted by all the tvs. They both got balloons by a balloon artist that was there. Kailee of course got a flower. Pink at that and JP got a blue puppy. At the end the waitress asked if Justin could go help her cash out with the manager and we said sure since we could see exactly where they were. He is such a little ladies man. He had a blast and made sure and told us he got to hit the bright blue button. LOL Kailee was busy eating her ice cream and watching cartoons LOL. So after we said good bye to the guys who were leaving we made the car ride home listening to Kailee sing Obsessed by Mariah Carey and a few other songs that came on the radio. She is hilarious and know more songs than I do. Justin was getting sleepy but luckily made it home before he fell asleep. Now I'm off to give the kids their baths and hit the sack.

Just Because
The kids are eating dinner and I have a moment of free time. I ran across this on a blog I was looking at earlier. Not sure where they got it from because they didn't say. I love how you can read about other people's lives on their blogs. I mean you can get some pretty cool inspiration or run across a blog that'll have you up all night crying and reading their entire blog from beginning to end. Anyways here goes.
Around the house... there is so much that needs to be done. I need to go through both of the kid's clothes and get rid of stuff that doesn't fit. Dust both of their room furniture, go through their closets, dust the entire house, deep clean both of the bathrooms, and vacume all the rooms, ugh and mop all the tile.
Here is a picture I thought to share with you... These two are my entire world.

Good Food and Lots of Laffs

So Paul and I had a little date night last night. These things are always so hard for me since I have to leave my kids with someone and attempt to enjoy the night w/out thinking of them every second. Luckily, we left them with a couple we really trust and who the kids love a ton. They have a five year old boy and a 7 year old girl, so the kids have someone to play with. Justin has a little crush on Bridget and always has. She out of everyone we have met since being here is the only one he has taken to. She's the only one who could ever talk to him or hold him. He always gives her big kisses on the cheek and hugs. Then there's Jay. Kailee for whatever reason is in love with him. Talk about little girl crush. I still remember one time he didn't hug her bye for whatever reason. I think Kailee was being coy at the time and so he left without giving her one and talk about meltdown city. She cried and cried for him saying he didn't tell her bye. Bri another girl there called Jay on her cell phone and let Kailee talk to him and all was fine. Anytime she sees him she does the whole little smile and giggles. Needless to say I knew the combination of the extra kids and trusting/liking the two people watching them we would be fine. Good thing too because they live 30 miles away from out house. So 30 minutes to take then and another to get back to town and then another 30 to get them and another 3o back home. If there were any real issues it wasn't like I could just hop in the car and go get them real quick. So I was praying everything went well and no real issues came up. And of course they didn't. I just always think the worse. So we leave the kids head to Chueys for some good food with another couple and enjoy about a hour there before our show starts. We were meeting at Laffs Comedy Club with a whole bunch of other car forum people. Somehow they got a ton of free tickets for about 20 people. Very cool little spot to hang out. The first guy was ok, the second a lady who has preformed in Vegas was pretty funny to me. I laughed pretty much the entire time. The third lady was so so. She had a few jokes but the entire show was pretty much her making fun of her weight and appearance. So overall it was a good show. I would go again to see what other comedians go. So the show got out about 1130 and off to Saharita it was. Paul was slightly irritated since I wouldn't agree to letting the kids spend the night so he was not wanting to make the 30 minute drive out there to get the kids. I am just not ready for that and no matter how much I might trust a person over night is a whole other story. I mean JP is only two and Kailee's just 4. To me that is way to young. Plus I just knew the kids wouldn't be asleep since they were in a new house and everything. HA talk about proving me wrong, and had I known I would have brought my camera in bc what I saw when I went upstairs was the cutest thing ever. And either she's a magician or my kids really like her because never do they fall asleep for a sitter. All four kids were lined up on the floor all covered in various blankets out cold. It was probably the sweetest thing I have ever seen. I've been kicking myself for not getting a picture. Bridget said the kids had a blast! They went to a neighbors cookout where JP shocked everyone and ate three whole hot dogs. What can I say the boy LOVES meat. She was so worried cause Kailee only ate one and wouldn't eat much more and I had to explain that's just Kailee. She's not much on meat or eating lots. She put in a movie after they got back and they all crashed. So all in all I am so glad the kids did well. It was a fun night to hang out with Paul alone and the kids having a good time made it all better.

Crazy Kailee & the Stuff she Comes up With

Our conversation on the way home went as follows:
Kailee: Mommy can you turn the radio off?
Me: Why?
Kailee: I want to discuss with you how dogs can die.
Me: Are you kidding me?
Kailee: So mommy how do dogs die?
Me: Um...They can get ran over by cars.
Kailee: Oh... And nails in their stomach. Nails are very dangerous to dogs mommy. It's very important to check their tummies out mom.
Me: Who in the world told you that?
Kailee: Hello(w/attitude) mommy my daddy. Long time ago.
Me: Ok...
Kailee: And guns. Gun shots can kill dogs too mom.
Me: And who told you that Kailee?
Kailee: Um hello(again w attitude) my Uncle.
Me: I don't even want to know why you guys were talking about that stuff.
Kailee: Oh and mommy. They can die by big knives too.
Me: What the heck. Where are you getting all this stuff from?
Kailee: Hello(like I'm the dumbest person for not knowing this) mommy. My silly Uncle of course.
Me: Well thanks for educating me about the ways dogs can die.
Kailee: No problem mommy. It's very important to know this stuff.
I swear sometimes when we talk I think to myself there is no way she is only four. And, who knows when she had these conversations with her dad and uncle, or if she even did. She comes up with the funniest stuff. And is so serious about it too.
Another example is her explaining to me her favorite color.
Me: Kailee which one do you want? Asking her what color rubber band she would like.
Kailee: Duh the pink one.
Me: Ok pink it is.
Kailee: You know mommy I changed my favorite color but did not go away from pretty or sparkly things. I still love those very much.
Me: Oh really?
Kailee: Yes mommy. Pink is much better than purple so you can have all the purple ones.
Thanks for clearing that up. Thats not all either. I tried giving her a ring from Chuckie Cheese I found in my purse. No joke she all but threw it back at me. Her response to the ring.
Kailee: "I don't want that."
Me: Why?
Kailee: "Because it's not sparkly and doesn't have a big diamond on it."
Me: "Ok tell your daddy."
I mean I had no idea how to respond to that. Apparently she's all into pink, sparkly, and diamonds now. Boy we are in trouble...

Weekly Randomness

Here are some pictures from this week that really had no other place to go. Some extras if you will. We had an awesome day yesterday running errands together. Actually the plan had been for me and JP to go have some alone time and Paul and Kailee to have theirs. However, Justin wasn't on the same page. He refused to go with me actually. He kicked and screamed and cried for his daddy. LOL I guess after spending two days running errands with him he didn't want to go with me So all of loaded up in Paul's truck and went to all the places he needed to go to. We took the kids to play at Del Taco, a place the kids and I had never been while waiting for Paul's Nitrous tank to be filled. I must admit it was good food and the kids had fun playing. Enjoy the pictures. BTW the rainbow picture my mom took after they had a really bad storm. I thought it was pretty so I added it here.

Some Alone Time w/my Little Lady

Today was such a relaxing and much needed day. I love my son to death, but I cherish alone time with Kailee, as I love Kailee to death but cherish alone time w/Justin. I think it does them a world of good to get away from each other and have alone time where all the attention can be focused solely on them. I try my best to divvy the attention between the two of them equally but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way. Just like I will always secretly feel guilty that JP doesn't get nearly as much alone time or attention with me as Kailee did. Once you have that second child they never get what your first one did. So Paul and I always try to do little things with just one of them with us so they see what it's like. For instance Paul and Kailee have a movie date where it's just him and her while Justin and I might go to the park or run errands. On his off days sometimes he'll take JP to the park while Kailee and I go grocery shopping. They eat this up. Kailee and Justin are basically each others play mates since all of their friends are in school now, so I think they can sometimes get on each others nerves. Kailee is at that very independent age and has been for quite some time so I know it has to be annoying for her to always have this little brother follow her around, and want to do everything she does, and be right with her all day. Today my plan was to take Kailee to story time at the library. This is my way of introducing focus and listening building skills to prepare her for Kindergarten, as well as socializing skills. She's still very shy at times if put in a group setting and even if she knows the answers or wants to sing and dance along she will sit there rather than shine in the group. We have opted not to put her in Pre K and let her go directly into Kindergarten next August. It's a decision I struggled with, but after seeing what all they teach I came to the conclusion I can teach her everything they teach in the setting of my own home, minus the socializing which brings me back to story time. So I go to take her to story time and when we got there found out story time has ended until 3 Sept. Ok no big deal. Paul had errands to run so him and JP were running all over the place. Plan B. Hmm it's 106 outside, near lunch time, what is there to do. I decided to take her to the mall play area. Hope and prayed it wasn't a mad house today. It literally doesn't matter what day or time you go to the mall it's mom, school, playgroup central. Luckily it wasn't crowded at all. I was so relieved. I can have anxiety attacks at that place much like Chuckie Cheese. So for me I was extremely glad it was relatively calm. Kailee had soooo much fun. She ran all over the place. Watching her I realized I have a very responsible respectable child. She is far more mature than her age. She's the kid who lets others go down the slide before her, watches out for younger smaller kids, says excuse me, and never hits or pushes another kid. I was so proud of her. Eventually she ran herself hungry and decided she wanted chicken nuggets and apples. So to the food court we went. Which thankfully was just across from the play area as the mall was crowded. As I was sitting there talking to her, watching her, admiring her, two girls directly behind us made the comment "You are so lucky to have a girl. Must be nice." I turned and said it sure is. And realized they had two boys a piece. I made sure and let them know I also had a two year old son. And, got the you're so lucky to have one of each. Funny how sometimes you can forget just how lucky you are. I mean I know how lucky and blessed I am to have to perfectly healthy kids, but at times I forget just how nice it is to have one of each. To be able to experience the differences between the both. Anyways, after lunch we went and played in the play area for about another hour. Kailee of course being Kailee made up songs, danced and twirled, ran all over the place and straight wore herself out. I still needed to make a much needed trip to Victoria Secret to get a bra, so on we went. Kailee LOVES VS. Obviously she's my child, because I could literally spend the entire day there and be happy as can be. LOL So I got sized, looked around, fought Kailee on trying to make me buy a pink bra simply because it's her fav color, and Kailee went crazy. Our VS has an entire section of nothing but body lotions, perfumes, sanitizers, make up, shampoos, and conditioners. She is a smell person. She loves smelling lotions and wearing chap stick. I think we must have smelt every lotion, body spray, sanitizer, perfume they had before we got to leave LOL Then I made the mistake of going into Bath and Body. UGH as if my nose wasn't burning and I wasn't itching enough. :) So we walk around and again we have to smell tons of scents. She is OBSESSED with sanitizer. I mean both of my kids love sanitizer and always ask for some. So she was in heaven with all the mini sanitizers. She was so cute. After Bath and Body we stopped at Mrs Fields cookies so she could get an icee. It's a ritual with her. Anytime we go somewhere and she's good she gets an icee. Well of course she wanted a cookie as well. So she picked out a cookie monster icing cookie and then decided Justin needed one too and got him and Elmo icing one. As if that wasn't sweet enough she put in how much her daddy liked sweets and cookies and picked out two for him as well. I opted to pass on the cookies. My hips definitely don't need one of those LOL. So off to home we went where Kailee and I prepared some dinner and waited for Paul and Justin to come home. Paul said Justin did super well while running errands and even managed to nap for two hours. Kailee was wore out from fun so after talking to her Nana from Texas she was out. Justin followed shortly after, so I'm waiting for myself to get tired. But in the meantime I'll post some pictures of us from earlier.
