MIA and Urgent Care

So...I've been unable to blog lately. After the whole experience with Justin finally over it was time to address this rash Kailee has had since Sat 3/13. I've been home treating it with all my resources with no improvement. I decided to call on Friday only to be offered the urgent care which I declined in hopes of getting an appt through the base on Monday. So I wake up at 7 and attempt to make an appt only to be told they had none to offer and she had to be seen today through Urgent Care. So I load the kids up and we head over. We wait 2 1/2 hours to be told she needs pediatric allergy testing and they were giving her a eczema cream to hopefully help with the itching and spreading. Of course they checked her vital signs. My big girl weighs a whopping 36 pounds. Only 5 pounds more than her brother who is two years younger. Kinda crazy. So a lady comes in to do the allergy testing and she's not able to have the testing done because of the current rash she has. I leave feeling exhausted. The kids are tired and hungry and very antsy from all the waiting. I go ahead and drop off her prescriptions at Walgreens and then we head home. I put in a call to the nurse in attempts to get her allergy testing approved which of course resulted in a telephone consult to the nurse and me never getting called back. Neither kids napped which I was surprised since they were so tired. I put them back in the car since I did get a call from Walgreens saying her meds were ready. We get the meds and head back home where I start dinner. We have dinner. I put the kids in the tub and after their baths I decided to put the cream on Kailee's rash. Immediately she starts crying and saying the cream is burning her and making her itch worse. I look at her rash and what was a light pink rash is now bright red and very inflamed. So I make yet another call to the nurse line to see what to do. In the mean time I put cold compresses on it and try my best to get her to stop itching and crying. Two hours later I get a call back only for the nurse to tell me she has to be seen within 24 hours at Urgent Care. She authorizes me to take her to yet a new urgent care center which is where we will be spending the majority of our day at tomorrow. I feel so bad for her. I feel bad for both the kids. Not only are they trying to adjust to moving and all of their stuff being packed up they are also dealing with trips to urgent care and not feeling well. I just wish I could do more....
