Lights and Bulbs

Despite my grumpy depressed mood, the kids put the bulbs on the Christmas tree. Paul took the tree out yesterday and so it was already up waiting to be decorated. I cannot muster the energy or joy to have anything to do with decorating. I found myself laying on the floor covered up in a warm blanket staring off into space as Kailee and Justin hung the ornaments. Kailee put the star on top and each of the kids got to put an ornament or two on the very top thanks to a shoulder ride by Paul. I wouldn't have made it through the day without Paul today. He made the kids lunch and even made him and I some lunch. It's normally something I look forward to doing, but not today. After the news yesterday I am in such a depressed funk that I just can't shake. Bad timing I know, but I just can't shake it. I normally remain positive and yet find myself struggling to come up with anything to be positive about...

New PJs and Decorations from Grandma Bashist

When Grandma Bashist first got here the day before Thanksgiving she came with gifts as always. She bought all the kids new Christmas pjs for the Polar Express ride. And, she also gave us two new Christmas decorations and some super cute Santa pot holders. Today before we put the bulbs on the Christmas tree the kids begged me to put the decorations up. So, I did. We have the cutest door cover. I know it's supposed to go on the outside, but we have security dorrs so it would have been a waste and no one would have been able to see it, so I out it on the inside where we could enjoy it. We also hung the Santa that has arms and legs that move. Kailee and JP look so cute in their new Christmas pj's and as promised I took pics for their grandma.
