Sometimes I forget how much Justin is growing up. I see him every day slipping further and further away from being my baby boy and becoming such a big boy. It saddens me... Justin in nature has always been a sweetie, a lover if you will. He's always been very affectionate and expected affection back. I was told boys were not like that and to expect less hugs and kisses. Thank goodness that's not the case with him. He is the sweetest little boy. Always concerned with his sister and Paul and I. Always making sure we are happy. Always trying to entertain us and come up with ways to make us laugh. He is the little boy that out of no where will walk up and put his little hands in your tummy and say tickle tickle until you laugh. Always coming in the room with morning momma and HUGE hugs. Willing to share anything he has with his sister with no problem. A snuggler by nature. Always messy haired and dirty. He always has a huge or sly grin on his face and is very observant. Very smart and wants to know how everything works. Has come up with the cutest phrases. His sister's little follower. Happiest when playing with Kailee, eating, or surrounded by hot wheels. Loves anything and everything car, truck, and plane related. Tonight I caught him hiding in the laundry room. Now mind you I had put him back in bed three times already. A potty break, a stall, and then again after he refused to go to bed without every single one of his cars in bed with him. Yes I was being lazy tonight and forgot to gather them all up ahead of time. So I hear him and tell him go to bed as I finished dusting. Never heard his little feet move towards the bedroom so I got up. Saw him in the laundry room and he immediately went towards the bathroom. So I scooped him up and said what's wrong. He said I need to go pee pee. I said man you smell good. Amazingly like chocolate. What are you eating son. Nothing he replies with a smile. I then say open your mouth. Definitely chocolate. I mean his teeth were covered. So I hug him and just laugh. I mean really with him that's all you can do. He then proceeds to tell me he found cookies in his bed and had to try them. BIG lie but A plus for creativity. So he goes potty I re brush his teeth and we head into his room. Instead of just turning and leaving I decided to spend some time with him. Besides it came me a break from cleaning. So we talk and I make the mistake of calling him my baby boy. He responds by telling me "When I grow I get big big big and you can't pick me up no more." "I not a baby I your big boy." There it is...The phrase, big boy. Why? Who came up with that? And, why does my son already know he's not my baby anymore? Sad face. I've always called him my baby boy and apparently now he finds it offensive. Oh Justin you will always be my baby boy regardless of how old you get. And, yes there will be a day when I can no longer pick you up, but I assure you, you will forever remain my baby boy. Then out of no where he tells me "My puppy stuck in the tree.""When I get bigger I tell the fireman to get my puppy out of the tree." "I can't get my puppy my bike too small." He went on and on and on about telling the fire man to get his puppy out of the three until he gets bigger and becomes a fireman and get his puppy. We discussed him missing his Nana and Papa and wanting to ride in their truck and how his bike was in their truck and Nana and Papa picked it out. He sounded so grown up. I mean not literally. He still has his soft sweet little voice but his thought process is what got me.
It was so nice to sit there and listen to him talk about whatever was going through his mind.

Conversations with my Sweet boy

Thursday

The weather has been super crazy here today. I mean cold and windy and so cloudy. Just very odd. Almost reminds me of Texas. Needless to say the kids and I weren't leaving the house. Way too cold and I hate going anywhere when it rains or sprinkles. There aren't too many indoor options anyway. So the kids and I played and had some lunch. For snack we made fat free vanilla sugar and they got to add sprinkles. That was by far the high light of their day. After bath time I put the kids down. That's when I heard on the radio that we were under tornado watch. The wind is howling like crazy and I can hear stuff blowing around in the backyard. I even heard a tornado was in Scottsdale AZ. That's just scary. Good thing I'm from Texas and high winds, rain, and tornado watches don't really faze me. All my mom's group friends were going crazy panicking.
