9 More Days!

Single digits left until I see my babies. I cannot wait. It gets harder and harder talking to them only on the phone. I need hugs and kisses like you wouldn't believe. I know they are having a blast. They only tell me every 5 minutes LOL but I miss and need them. The part I'm not looking forward to is the packing I have to do for the three of us. :( Oh well at least before I know it I'll be back with them.

Happy Father's Day

A little girl needs Daddy
For many, many things:
Like holding her high off the ground
Where the sunlight sings!
Like being the deep music
That tells her all is right
When she awakens frantic with The terrors of the night.

Like being the great mountain
That rises in her heart
And shows her how she might get home
When all else falls apart.

Like giving her the love
That is her sea and air,
So diving deep or soaring high
She'll always find him there.

My Daddy is a mountain
My Daddy is a sea
My Daddy smiles again and again
I love my Daddy And I know he loves me
'cause my Daddy is a ray of lite
that warms a winters' eve
My daddy is very special to me
I could not live without my daddy
as he could not live without me.

Happy Father's Day Paul. You're an amazing father and the kids are lucky to have you. I hope the three of you continue to build upon the bond y'all have. I love you.

:(

Bummed. Miss my kids. Bummed. That's all I can say at this point. Nothing worse than feeling obligated to go to a birthday party. I get there and see all the play group kids and just instantly want to walk out. Why? Because I miss my kids. I love all the kids and even though I had my usuals attached to my hip I just couldn't enjoy myself. Was it good seeing the girls? Sure. I mean of course it was. But I just wasn't feeling it. Pump it Up was definitely depressing this time. :( I just keep counting the days until I get to be with them and call them all day LOL It helps a little....

NEW!!!

Brand spanking new that is. Our new car that is. Paul and I went looking at cars today and purchased our first new car. Brand spanking shining and new. I LOVE it! I cannot wait for the kids to see their new ride. I know they are going to love their new space. We went with the Mazda 5. It's technically considered their version of a cross over/mini van. Smaller than a full size van and doesn't have the classic mini van feel. It's a 6 seater, liquid silver, black interior with all the goodies. I am so excited! It was quite a day. I think we got to the dealer at 3 and we didn't leave until 9. After we drove our new car, had a free dinner and then went home. EXHAUSTING. The whole car buying situation stresses me out like you wouldn't believe. Paul loves the game and was quite impressive with getting the best deal for the family. I'm off to bed. I'm beat!

Been A While

Oh man. I didn't realize how far behind I let the blog get. Wow. Where to start. It's been a whirl wind since I last posted. We made a two week trip to Texas, came back to AZ, went to Vegas for a little over a week, and are now back in AZ. Well, Paul and I anyways. The kids are still in Texas, but not for too much longer though. I leave on the first of July to go back to Texas where I will be gone with the kids for ten months. Yes you read right TEN months. Paul's getting deployed and with Kailee starting school we made the decision to let her go to Florida and complete the full school season there. Needless to say I have a lot to do in a short amount of time. I HATE packing and I have three people and two seasons to pack for. :( Other than that it's been very uneventful with the kids gone. I don't have pics to update because for a month now I've had the worse luck with cameras. More updates to come...

Happy Mothers Day

God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He molded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

Today is Mothers Day and I am spending it the way I want. Just me and my babies. I would have loved for Paul to be off but since he isn't the kids and I will have our special day just us three. So far we've woke up, had some breakfast, and made some cards. Kailee is the sweetest girl in the world. While I was washing the dishes she said "Momma why are you washing the dishes? It's Mothers Day and you're supposed to relax and do nothing. It's your day." I swear she sounded like a ten year old. So I asked her where did you hear that from? She then says on Sid the Science kid. Well okay then. It was still super sweet. We don't have any real plans for the day. I'm thinking of a pic nic with them at the park and just enjoying our time together.
Thank you God for allowing me the best gift in the world by giving me my two beautiful kids. I couldn't ask for better kids are be more blessed with them.

To my mom: You are the strongest, most beautiful woman I know. You are the best mother. Thank you for being you and always being there. I could never thank you enough or show enough appreciation for you. You are my best friend, the person I admire and look up to the most. I hope to be as good of as a mom as you are. I love you.

To my mother in laws: You guys are the best. Thank you for being there for the kids and I and doing all you do for me and the kids. You ladies are fantastic. I appreciate your advice and wisdom and for being there for me when my mom couldn't be. I love you two and couldn't have asked for better mother in laws. The kids and I are truly blessed to have you two in our lives.

Where Have we Been?

Well... We have been joying some much needed time with Paul's mom. Grandma Bashist came in on Wed and it's been non stop every since. We made tacos the first night she was here and by we I mean her. After all they are her famous tacos and a favorite of Paul's. The next morning Kailee, grandma, and I got to go get pedicures and lunch just us girls as or early Mothers Day gifts. Paul's treat and what a wonderful treat it was. Kailee actually got a pedicure not just her nails painted. She got the message and all the works. I think we are in trouble now. She ate it up. Lunch at Applebees followed and what a great lunch it was. :) After lunch we met up and headed to her hotel so the kids could go swimming. It was an awesome pool and the kids loved swimming. After swimming we let the kids blow some bubbles and just enjoyed the cool weather and talked.
Wednesday we went out shopping just her me and the kids. They got spoiled rotten. Before shopping we all helped make dinner to take to the station later. After shopping the kids got to go swimming again. Then it was time to head to the station and have dinner with Paul. She said her good byes shortly after getting back to the house. :( The kids already miss her. I miss her too. It was nice having her around to talk to. Wish we got to enjoy that more often.

Movies With Dad

Paul took the kids to see How to Train Your Dragon in 3D today. Both of them LOVED the movie. It was all Kailee could talk about the entire night. She officially has her favorite dragons now. They also went to a car show and got to play in a bounce castle. Then when they came home they helped Paul wash his car. They LOVED spending all that alone time with their dad.

Sunday

This morning the kids and I slept in until almost ten. Yes that's over sleeping and I'm fully aware of it. LOL After cooking all day yesterday I was quite exhausted. Not to mention the kids didn't go down until about 11 because they were so hyper after being at the station with Paul. But, I did wake up to the sweetest thing ever. Kailee had been drawing for about ten minutes before I actually got out of bed. I was laying there kinda in a sleepy daze trying to wake up. I closed my eyes when I saw her get up to play a trick on her. She creeps right up to me and says mommy are you ready for breakfast yet? I open my eyes and she has this sitting right in front of my face. It melted my heart. So that's what she had been working on. On the back side was one a little different for her dad. I tell you she is the sweetest little girl ever. After all three of us made our way downstairs it was time to make a late breakfast. I decided to make them a little surprise. French toast with fat free whipped cream and chocolate chips. They were so excited! After breakfast we have just been lounging around. I need to get into high gear and clean house. I've already done my count down for Kailee for when her grandma is coming. 3 days she keeps walking around and telling me. They are both pretty excited. We do our countdown multiple times through out the day. It'll be another day stuck inside because the AZ wind is RIDICULOUS!

Tech

Woot! Woot! Paul got to wear his Tech stripes for the first time today. To say I am proud would be an understatement. Paul is amazing and has such a great focus when it comes to his career. He has already accomplished more in the last two years than others who have been there before him. He runs his own crew, own station, has been recognized by higher ups, gives back and volunteers on his off days, is a phenomenal mentor and leader to the younger guys, and in my opinion an absolute necessity to the fire department. I could literally go on and on about Paul and all he has accomplished, but I'll spare y'all. :) Paul, I love you. The kids love and adore you. We are so proud of you and are excited for you and all you are accomplishing in your career.

Bragging Momment or Venting. Maybe Both

So I'm officially full swing into the Medical Transcription portion of my course where there is no more reading and all quizzes. And not just multiple choice quizzes. While I do have one of those after each chapter, the main focus is dictations that are timed and then have to be submitted for grade. UGH it's been a stressful pain to say the lease. So far I've submitted two transcriptions and passed with a 82 and 83. That's good considering I only have to test at 70%. Is it low, of course but passing is passing at this point. Especially since I do not care for this course any longer at all and have decided it's not what I choose to make my career in. I took my first midterm today and made a 96. I missed two stupid questions from my own error. Again at this point passing is passing. I am now on the second half of the midterm and whoever thought up this test is crazy. I have to transcribe dictations, corrections, format and all in 16 minutes. Imagine reading an entire health record of an operative procedure and then having to retype it only by a docs voice telling you the chart. That's what I'm doing. Oh have I mentioned there are three of those for my 16 minute time period? Gonna be a blast I tell ya. NOT!

STRESSED!

Just thought if I put it down it would eliminate some stress. Obviously not working :(

Pima County Fair

We attempted to take the kids to the Pima County Fair today. The weather had other plans for us. After seeing the dark cloudy skys we decided against our better judgment to go anyways. We got there and as soon as we entered realized it was quite a bit colder than we thought. No biggie we just kept on going. We were pretty hungry so we stopped at one of the first places we came to and ordered some food. The wind picked up, and by the time we were done eating it was sprinkling. We walked around a little before Paul and I could no longer take it. The kids were cold, we were cold, it was sprinkling, time to cut our losses. So we loaded up and headed back home to where it is still raining as I type this. The kids and I took a nap and when we got up it was dinner time. We all ate dinner and then it was bath time All of us ended up going down fairly early.

Super Sad!

So I was reviewing my pictures after the party. I noticed a black spot on all my pictures. I assumed it was just my screen and that none of my pictures were really affected. I was wrong. Every single picture has a black spot on it. I am beyond bummed. More so about my pictures being ruined opposed to the broken camera. That can be fixed my pictures not so much as the spot is in all different areas so editing wouldn't work. :(

DM-50 and Pantano Stables

What a day! This morning we woke up and got ready to go to Pantano Stables. I have been wanting to take the kids there for the longest and the play group organized an outing to check it out. Of course they were letting all the little kids ride on the horses, but I opted to pass. 20.00 for one ride around the stable which came out to three minutes(yes I timed it) is just a little to steep for me. But, I thought it would be fun to check out the horses and go support all the kid's friends who were riding. So we get there and we check out the horses, the first group took off on their ride, and then Justin was done. He was over all the kids, the people, the horses, everything. So we loaded up and headed to base. DM-50 was going on. It's a huge base pic-nic and Paul just happened to be entered in the car show. And, they even let him attend the event. The kids were so happy to get to see Paul and hang out with him. The pic-nic ended up being a ton on fun. I think had we got there any later I would have been overwhelmed with the amount of people. They had free food, free snow cones, cotton candy, 5 jump castles, a train ride, the fire engine, and best of all daddy. We started off at the car show, then had some lunch, grabbed a snow cone and headed back to the fire engine. The kids got to see a guy put on all the fire gear as quick as he could to make time. They enjoyed that. Then I took the kids for the train ride. Both were so excited, both couldn't wait, I put them both in, the train starts, Justin freaks out! So, I had to grab him and we stood off to the side watching Kailee have a blast. His whole reason for being scared? He wanted to sit with Kailee and not be alone. Poor guy. :( He really is attached to Kailee. Maybe a little too much. After Kailee got her ride I took them to get some cotton candy. We sat under a tree and just took the day in. It was quite a HOT one so after the cotton candy we headed out. Once home both kids took a nap while I cleaned some. I have soooo much still to do for Kailee's party. It just snuck up on me. After dinner I took the kids to our community park and let them run around. That was fun. :) Walked home and bathed both kiddos. I was in the middle of baking cup cakes when JP threw up in the hall way. Now he's not wanting to sleep and I have about 50 more cup cakes to make. :( Gonna be one long night.

National Frog month

So in honor of national frog month the kids and I headed over to Ruthie's for a play date. We made frogs out of green plates with their hands as the feet. Justin found a bucket of cars so he opted out of the craft but Kailee loved it. She's my crafty one. It was nice to get out of the house and meet up with some of the moms I haven't seen in a few weeks. Of course the kids loved seeing all their friends. They have become quite close to some of the kids. All the kids are super excited for Kailee's party on Sunday and the adults kept playing up the excitement as well. So Kailee is beyond excited. :)

Dum dee dum dee dum

Music time at Bookmans. The kids LOVE going here for music hour. Mr. Nature is so awesome with the kids. He gets there attention and keeps it the whole hour. Today is was more like drama hour but you know there was more kids there than I have seen previously. A bunch of the younger ones had meltdowns and sharing issues but thankfully my two enjoyed themselves. Justin still gets overwhelmed with all the noise and the size of the group but he sat by me and enjoyed being by himself. Kailee really got in to it this time. She actually sang the songs and danced her wriggles out. Had all sorts of suggestions for Mr. Nature and he loved it. After wards we looked around at all the books and cds. Played with the stuffed animals, talked Kailee out of a billion. She has such a thing for "people" as she calls stuffed animals. Justin was hungry so we headed over to the Mc Ds by the house with Tanya and James. The kids ate and played while we sat and chit chatted. We stayed right up until nap time. Came home and both kiddos napped and now I'm attempting to figure out my
computer issues.

Birthday Party

Birthdays are so much fun! We've had the opportunity to go to quite a few since joining the play group. All the kids have so much fun and my kids are slowly warming up to them and learning more about what to do at them. They are usually the shy kids who stay behind while all the other kids grab as much candy as they can or choose to stay out of bouncy castles until they clear out. They are learning though. Today was Angela's 5th birthday party and she had a super hero party. The kids are having a hard time adjusting to all the birthday parties. They get pretty overwhelmed with all the kids, family, activities, and noise. They did pretty well this time. They had a blast in the jump castle. Loved the cake and slushies and socializing with their friends. It was perfect weather, not too hot, not too windy, not cold at all. ANd most of all tons of fun!
