Monday Blahs

Oh what a day. We had a good day don't get me wrong, but what a Monday. I spent the majority of my morning going back and fourth with a rude lady at the DMV over them claiming I had a lapse of insurance coverage, which would not allow me to register my car. Now mind you I've been trying since beginning of Dec. I already spend 45 minutes with my insurance company before Christmas and they were faxing the appropriate form to the DMV. Of course the DMV claimed they never got it and she was just plain rude. The next step was holding for USAA. Then the real fun began. That whole long conversation I had before Christmas to get it taken care of of course was never taken care of or documented so we had to start all over. After explaining she also saw where they did this to us back in August. Then the best part. She explained that my car was noted to be in storage so they could not give the DMV anything in writing saying I had coverage for the dates they were requesting. In other words my car couldn't be registered in the state of AZ. Thankfully this lady was nicer and decided to go to her manager to see what she could do. After another 45 minutes she fixed the problem and has faxed everything to the DMV. After all of that it was time for me to call teh appointment line my least favorite place to call. I injured my neck somehow last week and have been in a ton of pain every since. None of my medications are working, neither is hot showers and rest. So I went ahead and called. Of course my PCM was fired so I now have no care at the base. We are being referred off base but we do not get to choose who our new provider is. She then transfers me to the nurse who decides I need to be seen today. I however, decline because I refuse to take my kids with me to a walk in clinic to be exposed to who knows what. Thankfully Paul's off Wed and Thurs so I will go sometime then.
The kids and I all took a nap today. My neck and base of my head was hurting so bad so I even layed down with them. After we got up we made a quick trip to Safeway to get juice and milk and odds and ends since Paul will be off. He hasn't been feeling well so I wanted to make sure he had lots of vitamin C. Then we stopped by Wal Greens to get some stamps so Kailee could mail her things for the grandparents.
We came home and I had just enough energy after carrying all the groceries up our ridiculous driveway to pop a pizza in the oven. The kids ate it up and then I got a call from our land lady. I swear she is the best lady. Super nice and just plain awesome. She called to say she was coming by to bring us homemade cookies. Wrapped around the cookies were two singing snowmen for the kids. I mean really? Could we be any luckier? I tell you she is the best! The kids were so excited to see her. They just love Miss Carole.
I went to run the kids bath water and they started in about wanting bubbles. I definitely got another Note to self moment. More to come on that later.
