Lesson learned

So I learned today that apparently girls are fascinated with make up from an early age. The kids are both sick and since JP has been since Sunday we have been stuck in the house. Needless to say I had to find a way to keep us entertained, so I pulled out my makeup. I was goofing off and putting make up on, which I still to this day do not know how to really wear it nor do I wear it most of the time, and Kailee asked if she could wear some. So, I put some on her and she thought she was hot stuffl and she even put some on Justin so he didn't feel left out. Basically he liked putting all the make up brushes in the water while she put powder all on his face. No biggie it made hed happy and kept him occupied. It was nap time so I washed all our faces and they went down for a nap. Tonight I was doing my normal night time cleaning and realized Kailee had been in my room a really long time alone. No biggie on a normal night because she likes to go in there and watch cartoons on my bed. Well, it finally hit me that I had the tv on TLC from earlier when they were napping and wondered what in the world could she be doing. I thought she fell asleep since I had to give her medicine for her allergies, and decided to finsh mopping. All my cleaning was done minus a load in the washer which I quickly put in the dryer and off to bed I went. Or so I thought. I walked in the room and she's laying on the floor with her head down. A sure sign she's hiding something. I called her name and she said "Yes momma." But still did not lift her head. Finally after promising her I would not be mad I saw her face and cracked up. Well she just could not understand why I was laughing and kept asking me what was so funny. I made her look at herself in the mirror and her response " I see momma how do you think I put my pretty make up on?" I haven't laughed so hard in a really long time. :)

P.S. The first pic is how I found her tonight and the other is after I put make up on her.

I thought it got Easier...

I thought for sure once Kailee got older Christmas shopping and gift giving would get easier. I was soooo wrong. This girl has to be the most difficult person to shop for. I ask her daily what she wants for Christmas. Want an idea of what this girl comes up with? Here goes. "Mommy I would like a bathroom in my bedroom so I don't have to walk across the hall to go potty". " I would like a napkin basket so I can put my dinner napkin in a basket next to my plate and not in my lap". I would also like a hammer, a door, a sink, and that black thing hanging on the livingroom wall"(which is a speaker). Um lets see. What else. Last night she also informed me she wanted a Clipo table for her toddler brother Justin, so she could also play with it even though it's for toddlers and not big girls. I honestly expected Barbies to come out of her mouth or dolls since she's almost four. But, no I get the most random off the wall stuff. Needless to say after 45 minutes of asking her over and over to pick some kid like stuff she wanted I finally managed to get four gift ideas out of her mouth. And, even then it's stuff I'm just like ok Kailee. She wants in her exact words a creepy Yo Gabba Gabba shakey ball, a magazine, but not just any magazine mommy I want one all about insects, a Shrek movie but not the one I've already seen, and a coloring book. Nice. It's going to fun trying to get other ideas from her. I swear the stuff she comes up with just blows my mind. LOL She is so funny.
