So I had to go to the clinic today to get an additional two weeks worth of my meds since I'll be in Texas past my appt date and decided what the heck lets go to the park. Now mind you it's 3:30, the hottest part of the day, but I had promised Kailee three days in a row when Paul's parents were here and I never got to. So, I knew I owed her big time. Off we went to get my meds and then head to the base. Kind of a long drive and very out of the way but all the parks are covered and with these temps that's all I care about. I ended up finding a SUPER nice brand new covered park in the new base housing section. It was awesome and probably the nicest I have come across yet. And, it had grass. Super soft, super green, plush grass, and real too. :)The kids had a great time although they were ready to go fairly quickly since it was so hot. We stopped by the station so they could see Paul which they loved and then headed home. On the way out the gate a security guard proceeded to stop me and I was thoroughly confused as I know I wasn't speeding. I just knew I getting popped for an inspection. Bummer. But nope he literally stopped me so he could stand at attention while the national anthem played over the loudspeaker. I have never had that happen my entire time being here or at Dyess. Kinda neat to see all of them lined up standing at attention. The downside. I looked up and realized it was 5. Now I've only been out around 5 a very few times. I learned my lesson early on. We hit stand still traffic. I mean completely standstill. Oh joy for us. Since the kids were amazingly well behaved today I decided they needed a treat. We stopped at this ice cream place called SCOOPS by the house. It happens to be Kailee's favorite place every since Paul took her there. They are very pricey but I saw a sign out front that said double headers for 2.00. This is a place where they have tons of flavors and combinations along with shaved ice and regular food. Kailee has been asking for rainbow ice cream every since we did the apple farm and her friend got a rainbow shaved ice. Of course she found what appeared to be rainbow ice cream called "crazy colors" immediately asked for it. Well she talked JP into getting the same thing. I should have known better being the mom I am, but I figured what the heck. I get up there to pay and instead of 2.00 it ends up being 8.00 because apparently I read the sign wrong. Grrr. Oh well treats like this come very rarely from me. Just wish fatty over here(BTW that's me I'm referring to) would have at least got to enjoy some. So we sit inside for a while and let them start on the ice cream. I figured they could at least make a mess there first before it landed in my car or worse the house. Off we go and I load them in the car. JP starts getting excited and all I keep imagining is the ice cream flying off and into my car, so I take his and gracefully drive with it. We get home and it had finally cooled off enough to enjoy being outside and I let the kids finish in the front yard. Our neighbor came home and let his little dogs out to which the kids loved! They finish and manage to of course spill it all over themselves. So as soon we get in I put them in the tub and take my position in the laundry room armed with stain removal and spray spray spray. I do believe this will be the first shirt Kailee has ever ruined. And luckily JP's was dark blue so whatever mess he made won't show up. :) Now off to finish clean and begin packing. Friday can't come soon enough!

Busy Doesn't Even Begin to Describe it...
So I FINALLY got word that the kids and I are getting to go to Texas on Friday! We found out Paul was leaving to San Angelo for a class which gave the kids and I three weeks to spend with my family. However, we also found out my grandpa was back in the hospital with pneumonia and more heart complications. My parents made the decision to take off to Fl to be with him, which of course made the deciding factor of the kids and I going to Tx a negative. Kailee was devastated and I was beyond disappointed. She had such a hard time knowing she wasn't going to get to see her Nana and Papa for a long time and was crushed. I was as well b/c I knew exactly how long it would be. Anyways it rained and flooded for two weeks from Texas all the to Fl, so of course my parents couldn't drive in that weather. Then, my dad got sick so that took another week and that brings us to today. We leave Friday and they decided they would stay in Texas the three 1/2 weeks we there unless my grandpa goes back into the hospital in which case they would have to take off. I am soooooo unbelievably excited to go see my family, but at the same time I am stressing out so much. I had to move and cancel all my Oct appts since we will be gone until right before Halloween, I have to clean this house spotless since it'll be closed up for almost 4 weeks, pack for the kids and I, and everyone knows how well I do with that. Not to mention they are in between seasons so I have to plan for hot, warm, and cooler weather. UGH the joys of packing. I also have to worry about how Abbey will do on the drive, worry that at any moment between now and Friday my grandpa will go into the hospital which will cancel our trip, worry about the swine flu since we are getting into the winter months, worry about Halloween when we get back and their costumes, also start planning for Paul's mom, sister, niece, nephew, Barry, and Jeff coming for Thanksgiving. I think I worry and stress too much. LOL Speaking of I need to get off here and start getting things in order.

One Down One to go
This morning I managed to complete my first midterm. It's about 2:30am and I am wide awake and my brain is killing me. That was probably the hardest test I have taken to date. When they said over the first nine chapters they weren't kidding. I mean it literally covered everything and it was so random in order. I made a 87 which I suppose is pretty good. I bet had I been able to test earlier I might would have made a A. I have been such a slacker since the kids have been back and decided ok no excuses time to get back into school head on. I knew it would be hard with taking care of them all day and going at night, but I guess I thought I was superwoman and reading, quizzing, and taking tests at night wouldn't be a big deal since I'm up already. Didn't take into affect that my brain doesn't function at retaining the info so well at the wee hours LOL. Oh well. I'm taking full advantage of the rest of my 4,000 in free money. Plus, I really want to be certified already to say I succeeded in something. I will never show failure in front on the kids so regardless of my busy schedule I'm going to do it and show the kids how to get it done. :) They are definitely my inspiration. Now I only have 14 more chapters and quizes before my final exam over Advanced Medical Terminology.
