Rain...Rain Go Away

Come again NEVER. Another cold and rainy day with two kiddos who have no desire to spend the day inside. YUCK. Of course I'll be singing a new tune in a while once we start hitting those triple digits. :( Having a hard time coming up with anything to do with them too. So far we've done crafts, cleaned, took a nap, and danced around. Dinner is right around the corner so I need to start getting that ready.
After dinner I cleaned house a bit and got caught up on laundry. I have a ton of homework I get to stay up and do. Yippee for me. But today was just one of those days where not a whole lot went on.

Where We've Been

So in case you've been wondering what we've been up to...Nothing. Nothing at all. Paul took the kids on Thursday to the park and for lunch and to run errands but other than that and our Target visit we've been at home. I took a small break from the playgroup because lots of sick kiddos and the kids kept catching the back ends of little colds and with their allergies it's now been a month with drainage and coughs. I'm trying to get their allergies under control so I've been them back on the allergy treatment of Zyrtec every morning and then 12 hours later. The kids love the taste but hate how it makes them feel. It makes them super sleepy and drag throughout the day. So that's another reason for us staying in. Anyways that's what we've been up to. I have us off the calendar for the remainder of the month and only a very few play dates in March so we'll see.

Target Fun!

Tonight I FINALLY took the kids to spend their Valentine's Day gift cards. Justin of course wanted hot wheels. He got 8 new ones. And, Kailee was able to get two Disney Princess Barbies. She picked Cinderella and Sleeping beauty. We had so much fun looking at everything and I had fun watching them pick put everything they wanted. It was a good end to our day.

Lucky Duckies

So we took a walk to the mailbox since the rain had us stuck inside all day. Not sure what happened to our weather but apparently it's bipolar side is showing. We went from sun and high 79's to cold and rainy. Anyways, once we made it to the mail box during a break from the rain, I opened it and there was mail for the kids. They got their Valentines Day cards from their Grandma and Poppy from Vegas. So of course once I got home I pulled out the camera and let them open their cards. They loved them! They each got stickers and gift cards. Both were ecstatic and immediately started asking when we could go spend their cards LOL.

Signing Time

Yes we are fans and watch it. They just started showing "Feelings" on Nick Jr and it's a HUGE favorite in this house hold. All three of us walk around humming it or singing to it through out the day. Today Kailee and I worked on the alphabet more. Of course most know I've been teaching her sign language since she was a baby. i did with JP too, but he didn't take to it as well as she did nor did he develop an interested like she did. So he knows basic signs where as Kailee in more advanced. This morning we all learned nice to meet you. Justin included. We worked on our feelings, and then Kailee signed her name. Oh and she also learned to sign to 10. After learning nice to meet you Justin was done and went to wash his hot wheels. LOL I still plan on trying and working with him though. I'm very proud of these two and how they don't mind learning different languages and signing. It makes staying home and working with their learning so much more fun.

We're M-O-V-I-N-G

That's right. We are moving. Still staying in Tucson but moving to another part of town. We went and looked at a two story today and we just couldn't pass. So we will begin moving our stuff in 1March and officially move into the home 1April. I am so excited! The kids and Paul are as well. This house is amazing. First off it's at the end of a culdesac. Only one neighbor to the side, total privacy, and a backyard that couldn't be any better for us. There is complete privacy back there. No one can see in the backyard from any direction. There are four fruit trees, tons of mature landscaping, and a huge covered patio. It gets much better though. The backyard has a pool! It's not anything we've ever considered or even wanted, but it's such a plus considering how great the house is. There are four bedrooms and 3 complete bathrooms. The kids will still have a separate playroom too. The master bedroom is larger than ours in Texas. I mean the sitting area alone is huge. The master bathroom is super large as well and there's even a garden tub. The kid's rooms are decent as well and the fourth bedroom is a designated office which we have been wanting. I just cannot wait to move. I can however wait to pack and unpack LOL
On the way home we checked the mail and what do you know? The kids had mail. They LOVE getting mail. It is their favorite thing. Every day I get asked if they got anything when we check it. Today was their lucky day. So when we got home they opened their mail from Aunt Blue. They loved it! Kailee immediately wanted to send a thank you video so we did that and then it was resting time.

Purple Heart Park Play Group

This morning the kids and I got dressed and headed to Purple Heart Park. It's super close to our house and even though I hadn't anticipated anymore play dates this week, I decided that since it was so close we might as well get out and enjoy the nice weather. The kids had a blast and I enjoyed myself as well. We were there about two hours before it was actually getting quite warm. Sow we said our good byes and headed home for some lunch and ice cream cones. Now it's nap time and neither are wanting to go lay down. Love the warm weather. Hate that the kids want to spend the entire day outside and bypass nap time. :)

So after napping it was still beautiful out and I decided to take the kids to the park again. Why not? Let the kids get some exercise and take advantage of the nicer weather. And, I've been told there's another play area at the park close to us so I wanted to check it out. It's a great play area, next to a skate park, and a baseball field, and a great dog park and field for the kids to run around in. The kids had so much fun and I enjoyed this play area much more than the other.
