Story Time & Chuckie Cheese

This morning the kids had a play date at Bookmans. It's a really nice book store that has a HUGE children's area. Every Friday they do story time, which includes a snack, drink, and coloring time after. The guy Andrew who was telling the stories was amazing. He was this hippie/tattooed looking guy who totally had all the kids engaged in everything he was saying. Kailee even answered his questions and she's usually the super shy one who won't even open her mouth. It was really cute because he kept trying to stump her and it wouldn't work. There was a story about veggies and he asked who like brocoli. No one answered and then out of no where you hear Kailee pipe up. I do. He said what about peas. Again all the kids shook their head. Kailee said I do. He said what about beans. All the kids shake their heads no except Kailee. Who once again said I do. So he thinks long and hard and says ok who likes spinach. Everyone shakes their head and all the grown ups and kids turn and look to Kailee. Who once again all excitably says I DO!. He was like no way and turns to me. I said she sure does. So he asks Justin. And do you like your veggies. Justin shakes his head vigorously and says NO WAY JOSE! Everyone cracked up. It's so true though. Kailee will eat any veggie you give her where as JP won't touch them. I've never seen so many kids listen and then even answer questions during story time. Normally the smaller ones are running around not even paying attention. Not this time though. All the kids say there during the four stories and all seemed to be enjoying themselves. After story time all the kids went over to the coloring table and began coloring pictures. Andrew with all his tattoos, long hair, and 6 feet plus height even sat in the little chair and colored right along with them.
After Story time we all walked over to Chuckie Cheese so the kids could get some lunch and run and play some energy off. Of course all the kids had a blast. We made it home just in time for nap time. After their naps we went out looking at some rental properties around our neighborhood. Then we came home watched a movie,played a little, took our baths and headed to bed. It was quite a day.
