The Joys of Halloween

Oh the joys of picking out Halloween costumes. Kailee I've pretty much had her costume in mind for months now. The only problem... I don't know how to make costumes myself and don't really want to spend $60.00 on one either . That's when knowing a best friend who literally knows everyone or has connections with a ton of people comes handy. So I decided I wanted Kailee to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and not a black cat like she wanted to be. Once I told her Charlie could sit in her basket she was so on board. So I showed my best friend the costume selling for $60.00 and she said "We can so make that." I knew then the costume was a go. So i went to Texas and literally in one day her costume was made and we were both so excited. I had the idea for JP to a fireman for ever. So I started looking. The options were cheesy, super cheesy or expensive. Nice options. I decided then he would have to wait to be a fireman. After all he's a boy and has his whole life to use that as a costume. So I kept putting it off and kept not looking. Just no motivation and I really wanted him to be a fireman darn it. Oh well I was in Texas having a blast and not really thinking of Halloween and besides how hard can it be? So back to Az and things were super hectic trying to get the kids back to normal and the house back in order, and once again I forgot all about JP's costume. Monday before Halloween comes. Then Tuesday, and then Wednesday. I wake up on Thursday and realize after looking in JP's closet he has nothing to wear. Oh why did I wait till the last minute. What would my options be at this point? So I go into Old Navy and there's some semi normal boy costumes. Jackpot I think. Maybe just maybe procrastinating wasn't such a bad idea. Then I start looking for his size. Great. Super small or super big. Uh oh guess it did bite me in the booty. Well long story short I found him a costume. It's a 4T 5T but still I bet I can make it work. Actually at this point it's going to have to work. LOL As you can see by the pictures they both ended up looking super cute for Halloween and all my worrying was for nothing. The kids had a fantastic night and heck Paul and I did as well. We trick or treated like kids and just enjoyed the night with the kids.
