There are times as a parent that just make you reflect on how wonderful life is. Every night, well every other for Paul, we sit outside Justin's door and listen to him race his cars and imaginary play with them. Last night as I went in to give my last kisses before I went to bed I opened his door slowly as I always do, because I know I'll be opening it up to a ton of hot wheels spread all around the entry and around his night light. This time however, there was a body laying in the opening of the door. At first I was concerned, worried something was wrong. Then as I stepped further in, I realized my sweet, handsome, boy had simply fallen asleep right there on his carpet as he raced his cars. Paul came home a short bit later and I took him to JP's room to see. We both just stood there staring and silently laughing. Paul then scooped him up off the floor and tucked him into bed. Paul then put his arms around me as we continued to stare at him tucked into fire truck bed and said "Who would have thought 8 years ago we would be picking our son off his floor and cleaning up hot wheels?" It's so true though. Life is amazing and the way life turns out is just amazing as well. Who would have thought 8 years ago we would have two beautiful, healthy, amazing, children? They sure do bring way more joy into our lives than we could have ever imagined. As I turned out of Justin's room we both made our way into Kailee's who of course was laying in bed watching her movie. After kisses and hugs Paul and I went to bed. I thanked God for the millionth time for blessing me the way he has.
