Happy Birthday Mommy

That was the sweetest sound ever. Kailee made sure and told me Happy Birthday first thing this morning. Then we headed off to playgroup. We went to Miss Tiddle Winkles Toy Shop for story time. We ended up staying there for about 1 hour with only five minutes worth of a story. The kids and I were the first ones there so we walked around and checked out all the neat and cool toys they had and both kids got some special fairy dust. They both loved getting glitter dumped on them. . Then Maddie and her mom showed up about twenty minutes after we did and we continued looking at toys. A bunch of people who were supposed to come didn't make it for whatever the reason, but another mom and her daughter showed up about 15 minutes after Maddie and her mom showed up. Maddie, Kailee, and JP went up into the loft for story time. Bless the worker's heart. She tried reading the kids a story, but when you have table and chairs with tons of play food and a tea set kids tend to not pay attention. LOL They tried to listen and pay attention, but their little minds just couldn't and they were all having so much fun playing tea party. After the attempted story the kids played for another thirty minutes or so before the big finale. We headed over to a new cupcake place called CupCakes. It's what you would call a specialty upscale cupcake bakery and quite pricey as well. Of course had I known the prices before hand I would've opted out of that portion of the play date, but once you're in there and all the other kids have cupcakes it's not exactly fair to make your kids not get one and then sit there and watch. So I was a good sport and let each of the kids get their own cupcake. Kailee picked the "party animal" which was basically a vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing and tons of bright sprinkles. Justin picked the "Hanukkah" which was a vanilla cupcake with bright blue icing and a star on top. He picked it because he wanted the star sooooo bad. I picked the oh wait I didn't get one. Although, I wanted one really bad. The smelled and looked delicious but at $3.25 a cupcake, they didn't look that good. Heck when I got back to the car and broke it down I could have made three dozen cupcakes with icing and sprinkles for their prices. The kids loved them and I did get tons of enjoyment watching them devour their cupcakes so it made it worth it. Speaking of when I got back to the car. We make it about half way through the parking lot when I finally notice a piece of paper flapping in my windshield wiper. I stop get the paper out and it's a note apologizing for hitting my car. WTH? How could I for one not noticed a piece of paper on my windshield and two my car had been hit. I tell you with two kids and being by myself the only thing I notice or things I should say are my kids and getting us safely from point A to B. Anyways, I pull into a parking space get out and do a walk around but don't see any damage. At this point getting JP home and down for his nap without him falling asleep on the way home is my main concern. There is that thought going through my mind hoping the number and name left are legit. After all it takes a huge person to leave a note and leave legit information when hitting some one's car in a parking lot unseen. I get home and put Justin down for his nap and actually end up falling asleep myself. Paul had got some Jack in the Box so before I fell asleep I got to spend a little time with Paul, eat some lunch, and see my BEAUTIFUL purple calla lilies he got me. He is such a sweetheart and so thoughtful. Flowers are one thing but to them get purple flowers. Even better. I woke up from my nap and am now waiting on some yummy Domino's pizza. We are going to have some pizza and watch some movies. Can't think of a better way to spend my birthday than with my family. They are the best after all. Thank you to everyone for all the birthday well wishes and gifts. I appreciate everyone of you for taking the time to think of me on my day.
