Christmas Eve Already?

Holly cow. I woke up this morning not even realizing it was Christmas Eve. Where did the last few days go? Wow. I can't believe it's here already. Mom sent me a picture of their house with snow. That's right it snowed in Abilene. Talk about a white Christmas. How exciting for them. The kids and I are going to the fire station around 2 to have Christmas Eve dinner with Paul and the rest of the station. It's at one so the kids will have a blast since that's the station with all the fire trucks. They love that Paul has his own station he runs but they miss seeing more than one truck. I know it'll be a good time. After that we are headed to a friends house at 6 for more food, fun and company. What I thought was going to be an easy relaxing day is turning out to be quite busy. :) Love this time of year.

I got a call from a friend asking if I could take dessert to the get together tonight because the completely forgot about dessert. Only problem, I haven't been to the store nor will I attempt the store with my two kids on Christmas Eve. So I looked in my pantry and with about 1 1/2 hours to go before we were due at the station whipped up 100 cookies. 50 for the get together and 50 for the station dinner which now is the station Christmas lunch. Right smack in the middle of what should be Justin's nap time I am making my mom's chocolate PB and oatmeal drop cookies and trying to find suitable outfits for the kids to wear. Well truthfully I am sitting on here blogging, but I need to get a move on it. Be back later with updates.
