Allergies, Colds, Pink trees, oh my!

So both kids have been sick all week. They started off with their normal allergy symptoms and it has slowly progressed into full blown colds or something. JP is green and Kailee is yellow. I won't go into further detail. They also both have coughs. JP's is a wet cough and Kailee's a dry. I have no clue what they have but their allergy meds aren't even touching their symptoms. I'm suborn though and am trying to hold off as long as I can. I hate taking them into the doctor or walk in clinics especially with the swine flu going around. We lounged around the house all day everyone feeling pretty blah. Paul had to go to work so both kids were adjusting to him being gone after having him home since before Thanksgiving. I was just blah from all the stress last night and everything that's been going on lately. I decided to take the kids to check the mail since Kailee had a lil something coming to her and then decided crap lets just get dressed and go get some vick's vapor rub, the Johnson's vapor bath, more Zyrtec and Benadryl, and of course Kailee's special surprise. So we all got dressed and headed to Target. Kailee got a gift card from her Grandma Bashist and she was so excited! She has had her eye on this pink Christmas tree since before Thanksgiving and I just couldn't see getting her one with everything we've had going on. But, her grandma came to the rescue and gave me specific orders to take her to Target and get her tree. So we get there and I'm expecting Kailee to pick a small pink tree and spend the majority of her money on princess ornaments only one problem. She saw a big pink one before we even got to the ornaments. So she picked her tree and had 5.00 left to spend and believe it or not they were out of the princess decorating stuff. So we found some super cute small bulbs in bright colors that contained both pink and purple her favorite. She was tickled pink. She also found a cute dark pink star to top her tree. I was super proud of her she thought of Justin and did ask if I would get Justin a small blue Christmas tree for his room which of course got him wanting one, but I declined. He really has no need for one nor would he enjoy one once he would have brought it home. JP ended up with two mystery hot wheels. That boy is obsessed with cars. Cars of all shapes, sizes, colors, and types. So when I saw they had some mystery cars which basically translates into a car with the front of the package blacked out so you can't see what you're getting I knew it was perfect for him. He held those cars so tight the whole way through the store and opened them as soon as he got home. He LOVED it!
Kailee decorated her tree by herself and then begged to plug it in. She is in love with her tree and so excited to have her very own Christmas tree in her room. As a matter of fact she's in her room right now with her tree on. :) It was really nice to see both kids smile after being so miserable all week. And, no I normally do not take the kids out when they are sick, but I needed meds and Paul was working.
Well I'm off to attempt my final exam again. I really hope I don't have any more computer problem like last night. Getting an e-mail lecture was no fun. I seriously felt like I was in highschool again. Wish me luck. Lord knows I need it!
