ER, Appts, Dentals, Wells oh my

What a busy busy couple of weeks it's been. It started off with me lifting two 24 packs of water on Memorial Day and ending up going to the Clinic the next day to spending the weekend in and out of the ER. After about 8 pain and muscle relaxer injections with multiple prescriptions I finally saw my PCM who has decided to start the process all over. I had a new set of x-rays done, a pending MRI for Wednesday, and a consultation with pain management. I'm hoping to get in soon and see what kind of damage I've done now. I'll post a blog as soon as I find out anything new.

The kids both had their dental appointments on the 2nd and they went great! JP went in first and did quite well considering he was woken up for the exam. :) His teeth looked great according to the dentist and no decay was seen. They did notice his gums were inflamed but since his allergies are acting up they could tell it was from that. He got a bright new red toothbrush and a yellow balloon which made his day. Kailee's exam went super well too. They took x-rays and she sat perfectly still and they were able to get a good set. She has 20 teeth, got a cleaning and a floride treatment. The dental assistant said she has wonderful big white teeth and healthy gums and you could tell we took care of her teeth. The dentist noticed she has a wierd cross bite which I've suspected since she had her first dental exam at 13 motnhs and said we would address it when her 6yr molrs were completely in. It's quite common and a very easy fix. She also got a new toothbrush and some stickers and a ring. They both are good for another 6 months.

Wish I could say their well exams went as good as the dentals...They both were due for check up JP his 2yr and Kailee her 4yr and to get them on the same day we were scheduled super early in the morning. Both kids napped late the day before and have been dealing with allergies so waking up early was so not a great idea. But we managed and got them ready. Justin did very well this time and for the first time I did not have to physically hold him down for weight and measurement. I was very proud of him. He weighs 27.5 pounds and is 36 inches long. What a big boy. He meets all the milestones and the pediatrician said he looked very well.
Kailee on the other hand. Oh where do I start. I knew it was going to be a bad day when I woke her up and shje kept laying there saying how tired she was. She was whiney all the way there. Was excited when they took her back. She of course did not want to do the eye exam bc she was tired her words so they let he skip it. She of course exceeds all the milestone requirements. She weighs 36 pounds and is 40.1754 inches tall.
After the well exams they sent us over to immunizations. They both did very well with the long wait. We had to wait for Kailee's shot record to be faxed to the immunization clinic since they lost it. JP went first on his two shots. He cried I won't lie but as soon as I stood him up off the table and he saw the drawer of stickers and lollipops he stopped quick. LOL This is where the day went south. Kailee got so mad because she wasn't able to go in there and watch JP get his shots to make sure they didn't hurt him. She has never cried or thrown a tantrum in public and boy did she. I mean waking up early, not feeling well, stressing about getting a shot it just all caught up with her and BAM full on tantrum. So what do you know she gets called back next already upset. She was hysterical. They gave her four shots two of which I knew were going to be extra painful and poor thing just lost it. Cried hystericallly uncontrolably. She kept saying her legs hurt and of course I'm sure they did. Doesn't help she doesnt have much leg to begin with. Even stickers and lollipops didn't help her. I carried her all the way to the car with her sobbing in pain. So dramatic...As soon as we get her and JP in the car she shouts "They put holes in my legs!" I didn't want holes in my legs." "When are they going to heal?" LOL Paul and I just busted out laughing. Both kids instantly fell asleep on the way home. Aghhh what a day.
